Native to the warm, breezy, volcanic island of Sicily, Italy, Nerello Mascalese is a juicy, medium-bodied grape capable of making some pretty compelling, thought-provokingly complex wine. Many sommeliers liken it to southern Italy's version of Pinot Noir, and we can't disagree.
