The best dry French rosés are made near water - namely, the Mediterranean Sea, or along the Loire river. But that doesn't mean it should also taste like water! We believe rosé (like all wines) should be flavourful.
Cote et Mer, or "coast and sea" is Chateau des Bormettes' introduction wine, offering a deliciously affordable example of easy, breezy, high-quality rosé from the Mediterranean. A blend of Grenache and friends typical to the Provence region (Cinsault, Syrah, Rolle), it's got juicy berry and ripe orange notes highlighted by a hint of herbs and sea salt.
We think this wine pairs wonderfully with equally lively, flavourful items like:
- smoked salmon
- Khao soi
- lobster rolls
- hot buttered scones with raspberry jam
- frisbee golf
- gospel music
Cheers!
